The debut of the Premier Padel in London will take place in the charming setting of Olympia, a historic space for events, fairs, and concerts in Kensington with over 130 years of history. Over the years, it has hosted sports events such as boxing matches, wrestling shows, as well as concerts by Rod Stewart, The Cure, Chemical Brothers, and from August 4th to 9th it will welcome the big names of the world padel for one of the most anticipated P1 events of the year, as it will be a first for the circuit in the English capital. Inaugurated on December 26, 1886, Olympia has been deeply renovated and restructured during the last decade, making it a highly sought-after and iconic location, also considering its centrality and proximity to the many historic sites of London. Upon completion of the works, the entire area will host a 1,575-seat theater, a 4,000-seat concert hall, a luxury hotel with 204 rooms, another accommodation facility with 146 rooms, 51,000 square meters of cutting-edge office space, 25 new restaurants, bars, and cafes, and approximately 10,000 square meters of pedestrian space.
Today Olympia already welcomes over 1.6 million visitors a year and hosts more than 200 events annually, and the redevelopment aims to further strengthen the current spaces and increase the value of the international conference center. Pre-sale for tickets for the London P1 will start on April 22nd (with pre-registration on the event’s official website – p1london.com), while public sale will begin on April 24th through Ticketmaster UK. The tournament will be organized by Sela, a company specialized in event organization, in collaboration with Premier Padel and with the support of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
